Hyderabad: YSR Congress party candidate from Nellore LS seat Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy on Tuesday expressed confidence that YSR Congress party honorary president Y S Vijayamma would fill the vacuum created due to the arrest of Kadapa MP Jagan Mohan Reddy in the ensuing by-election campaigns.

Talking to media persons after meeting Jagan Mohan Reddy in Chanchalguda Jail in Secunderabad, Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy alleged that the ruling Congress and opposition Telugu Desam Party have hatched a conspiracy to arrest Jagan Mohan Reddy with the CBI to prevent him from participating in the by-elections campaign fearing humiliating defeat.

However, he said that the people would teach a fitting lesson to both the parties in the ensuing by-elections.

Mekapati expressed confidence that all 18 assembly constituencies and Nellore Lok Sabha constituency would be won by YSR Congress candidates with huge majority in the elections.

He said that Vijayamma would actively participate in the campaign from May 30 and expose the conspiracy of TDP and ruling Congress party in the by-elections.

Stating that YSR Congress president Jagan Mohan Reddy was already suffering from many problems for the last two-and-half-years, he said that the life in Chanchalguda Jail would not be a major problem for him.

A conspiracy has been hatched to prevent joining of other leaders from various parties into the YSR Congress party, he said.
