Indian innings folds for 707; 2nd Test move towards draw

Colombo: Tail-enders Ishant Sharma and Pragyan Ojha frustrated Sri Lanka for almost two hours to help India take a 65-run lead before Sri Lanka reached 19 for no loss in their second innings at lunch on the fifth day of the second cricket Test here today.

Resuming at 669 for nine, Sharma and Ojha almost survived the opening session of the final day as India's first innings folded for 707 about 15 minutes from the break.

Sri Lanka, who made 642 for four declared in the first innings, were trailing by 46 runs with all wickets intact as the second Test headed for a certain draw.

Openers Tharanga Paranavitana (6) and Tillakaratne Dilshan (5) had scored a boundary each in two overs they faced in the second essay.
